I spent the weekend fine-tuning some recipes and ideas for my upcoming Decadent Raw Desserts class.
I’m so excited about this class as the results from the weekend have been great. Raw food desserts are naturally free from gluten and dairy. Nuts, avocados, cacao butter and coconut oil are used in place of butter and cream; coconut is the ‘flour’ of choice and dates and other natural sweeteners are used in place of refined sugars. So while these desserts are still for treats, the good news is they are made using only nutrient rich natural foods that the body responds well to.
In this class, i’ll share with you the basics of how to create fabulous raw creations to wow your friends and family this summer. We will cover equipment and techniques, how to set up a raw food desserts pantry (so you will always have the basic ingredients on hand to whip up a simple nourishing treat), presentation and styling ideas and we will get hands on making cheesecake, tarts and mini-pots of decadent delight. There will be time to try the results and hopefully some samples leftover to take home!
